What Are Wear Strips and Why They Matter

Wear strips are rugged, strip-shaped components engineered to protect high-friction surfaces and extend equipment life by reducing abrasion, impact, and metal-to-metal contact in industrial machinery and material handling systems.

Unlike generic plate products, wear strips are designed to be installed where moving parts, such as conveyor belts, rollers, chains, or hoppers, frequently rub or slide, providing a sacrificial, high-wear resistance surface that preserves more expensive components and minimizes downtime. Just like our wear plates, our industrial wear strips are available in a variety of premium materials and customizable sizes, wear strips offer industrial operations an effective way to lower maintenance costs, improve reliability, and maintain smoother operation under heavy loads and abrasive conditions.
