FeatherClad™
Wear-Con FeatherClad ™ Ultra-Thin Chrome Carbide Overlay Wear Plate contains a high volume of chromium carbide, providing excellent resistance to wear. With an ultra-thin profile, FeatherClad ™ is lighter and thinner than conventional hardfaced wear plates, providing all of the strength at fraction of the weight and thickness for areas with extreme wear where weight or clearance is a concern.

Installation
Wear-Con FeatherClad™ can be welded into place with a low hydrogen rod such as AWS spec. 7018 on the base metal. The cover pass at the overlay section should be 60 HRc Hardsurface Rod (i.e. Wear-Con VP 100)
Technical Specifications
At 68 HRc, Wear-Con FeatherClad ™ is harder than quartz, yet is thin, flexible, and light, weighing only a fraction of mild steel.
Properties
FeatherClad ™ is available in 48” x 96” (208 lbs.) sheets and can be custom cut to any size needed. It can also be formed in tubes as small as 4 inches in diameter.
