Wear-Con WC900™ Chrome Carbide Overlay Wear Plate With Imbedded Tungsten Chips is a unique tungsten carbide overlay on a mild steel base plate. Lasting nearly 6 times as long as mild steel, WC900™ is designed for areas with severe impact and abrasion; and can be formed, rolled, and cut to your specific needs.

Installation

WC900™ can be welded with a low-hydrogen rod such as AWS spec 7018 on the base metal, with a cover pass at the overlay section with 60 HRc hard surface rod (i.e. Stoodite XHC, McKay Hard Alloy 58, or Rock-Mount Omega N).

Technical Specifications

WC900™ has a hardness from 73 to 75 HRc, a maximum service temperature up to 1000°F for standard options, and can be supplied with a single or double pass application.
