Wear-Con WC90™ Plain Tiles can easily be installed by securing with Wear-Con Premium Silicone, tile adhesive, and mortar.

Vacuum-Bonded Ceramic Wear Tiles

Features & Benefits

Wear-Con VB96™ Vacuum-Bonded Ceramic Wear Tiles are very thin highalumina oxide content tiles attached to the impact surface with a vacuum bond - the strongest attachment method available. Due to this strong bond, VB96™ can be used in moderate impact areas which would otherwise be inappropriate for ceramic.

Parts to be lined are shipped to the Wear-Concepts facility for professional installation of VB96™ Ceramic

Technical Specifications

Wear-Con VB96™ has a hardness of 9 on Moh’s Scale, providing impact resistance in working temperatures as high as 275°F in dynamic applications, and up to 400°F in static applications, a tensile strength of 6,000 psi, and shear strengths at 4,000 psi and 24,000 psi.

Wear-Con Cerami-Bond™ Premium Epoxy Mortar Tile Adhesive is an industrial grade 100% solids epoxy paste for use in bonding ceramic tiles. Cerami-Bond™ cures at room temperature to a tough solid. Cerami-Bond™ adheres to almost any clean surface, including metal, glass, ceramics and many other areas.

Installation

Wear-Con Cerami-Bond™ is easy to mix and install. Simply mix one part Cerami-Bond™ Resin - Part A with one part Cerami-Bond™ Hardener - Part B and trowel on both surfaces. Cerami- Bond™ is workable for up to 45 minutes at 70°F.

Technical Specifications

Wear-Con Cerami-Bond™ adheres to contaminant free clean surfaces in working temperatures from 60°F to 110°F continuously. Cured Cerami-Bond™ has a compressive strength of 15,150 psi, a tensile strength of 5,000 psi, maximum operating lap shear of 2,350 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 210°F.

Wear-Con Premium Silicone can be applied overhead without sagging, and adheres to almost any clean surface, including metal, glass, most woods, ceramics, painted surfaces, and many other areas.

Installation

Wear-Con Premium Silicone is easy to install either by hand or using a caulking gun. To insure product integrity of unused portions, cut high on nozzle and replace cap after use.

Technical Specifications

Wear-Con Premium Silicone adheres to surfaces in working temperatures from -85°F to 450°F continuously, and up to 500°F intermittently; has a 20 ppi peel strength; and tensile strength at 350 psi (4 MPa).

Wear-Con TB90™ can be used in applications with temperatures up to 250°F (for higher temperatures see reverse). Due to its paste consistency sagging is not an issue, therefore TB90™ conforms to irregular and overhead surfaces. TB90™ cures chemically, resulting in minimal shrinkage.
